Dr. Ilker Bacaksiz is a distinguished specialist in esthetic dentistry, implantology, and prosthetic dental treatment, practicing in Antalya, Türkiye. Born in 1980 in Rize, he completed his primary and secondary education in Antalya before beginning his dental studies at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 1998. He advanced into academic dentistry in 2005 as a doctoral researcher in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at Hacettepe University, where he completed his PhD in 2011 with a dissertation on the passive fit of implant-supported bars using laser technology. In the same year, he earned his certificate of specialization in prosthodontics awarded by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
Dr. Bacaksiz’s academic career includes significant contributions to both education and professional leadership. From 2017 to 2022, he served as an Assistant Professor and faculty member at the International Health and Community Sciences University. Also in 2017, he was elected Chairman of the Antalya Study Club of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), a role he continues to hold. In 2024, he was elevated to the status of ITI Fellow, recognizing his ongoing professional development and contributions to the field. In clinical practice, Dr. Bacaksiz began treating patients in the Prosthetic Dentistry Department at Hacettepe University between 2005 and 2011.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Bacaksiz enjoys golf, sailing, paragliding, travel, and gastronomy, reflecting his broad interests and active lifestyle.
